About SEO Articles Directory
The name is a leftover from a time when article directories were the plan. We kept it because people still search for it, and because it lets us explain what happened.
What this site is
It is two things at once. A set of notes on how article directories, guest-post boards and link swaps fared, and a front door to a self-serve marketplace for single dofollow placements.
We are sceptical by habit. Every fad in link building has arrived with a case study and left with an apology, so we write down dates, name the Google updates, and label every example as an example.
Our notes draw on our own crawler and our own index, plus public statements from Google and the tools you already know, such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz and Majestic.
That is the whole business. No lock-in, no monthly plan. You pay for a placement when you want one, you read the notes whenever you like, and nothing renews behind your back.
- vetted donor domains
- 50,000+
- per link
- from $1
- top of the range
- ~$500
- year of this edition
- 2026
What we do not do
- We do not accept article submissions
- We do not promise rankings, traffic or sales
- We do not publish customer stories we cannot show
- We do not sell monthly subscriptions for links
Who the notes are for
Mostly site owners. A shop owner wondering whether the submission sites she used in 2012 are hurting her, a clinic manager asked to "get some links" by a board member, a freelancer who inherited an old campaign.
Their questions share a pattern. They want to know what worked, what stopped working and what to buy instead, without a sales pitch wrapped around the history.
So we answer those in order. The tier 2 questions cover what to do with leftovers, and the price ranges cover what a clean replacement costs. Neither page promises an outcome.
What we do
Sell single placements
Editorial placements and link insertions, priced per row and paid from a balance. See how an order runs.
Write plain notes
Start with the directory record if you came for the history.
Let publishers sell too
Site owners can set a price, approve every placement and receive weekly payouts.
How we handle claims
Every example with numbers carries a label. If a table says $100 buys four rows, it is an illustration of arithmetic and not a record of a customer.
We cite dates for updates: Panda on 23 February 2011, Penguin on 24 April 2012, SpamBrain's link spam update in December 2022. When we are not sure, we say we are not sure.
Limits belong in the text too. The marketplace sells placements, it does not sell positions, and for a full keyword suite you would still open Ahrefs or Semrush.
Things visitors ask us
Is this an article directory?
No. We do not publish submitted articles. The name is historical and we kept it because people search for it. The marketplace sells placements on other sites, each written for one link to your page.
Who writes the notes?
The editorial team, as a group, with no named individuals. We check dates against Google's own announcements and label every figure that is only an example, so you can tell record from illustration.
Can I sell links from my own site?
Yes. Publishers set a price, approve every placement before it goes live, and get paid weekly. You keep control of what appears on your pages, and can refuse anything that does not fit.
Contact goes through your account page. Our editorial team signs every page as a team, never as an individual.
